This page outlines the terms of trading with Bayt Ara and how we handle the personal data of collectors who submit inquiries or acquisition requests. Last updated August 2026.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By browsing this site, submitting an inquiry, or requesting to acquire a piece, you agree to the terms outlined here. These terms apply to every visitor and collector interacting with Bayt Ara, whether through this website or in a private viewing.
2. Pieces, Provenance & Copyrights
All designs and artworks are the exclusive intellectual property of Bayt Ara. Any unauthorized reproduction, imitation, or public copying is strictly prohibited and will result in legal action. All listed pieces are offered subject to availability. Due to the authentic handcrafted nature of our work (with the exception of fine art prints), every piece is distinctly unique. Unlike machine-made products, the human touch introduces natural variations, meaning the physical artwork may differ slightly from digital photographs and no two pieces are exactly identical. Prices are listed in Qatari Riyal (QAR). All prices are fixed, non-negotiable, and do not include international shipping costs outside the State of Qatar. Prices are subject to change without notice until an acquisition is formally confirmed in writing.
3. Acquisitions, Production & Private Viewings
Artworks marked ‘Request to Acquire’ may be reserved by submitting a request through this site, and our team will coordinate directly to confirm availability and payment details. Pieces designated for ‘Exclusive Digital Viewing’ are reserved for private presentations and require a consultation before any sale is finalized. For certain artisanal works that require extended craftsmanship (such as hand-knotted carpets), production timelines range from 1 to 3 months. A detailed production schedule will be provided to the collector immediately upon order confirmation and the settlement of payment. All acquisitions are final once payment is confirmed, except as outlined in our Shipping, Handling & Returns policy.
4. Customs & International Taxes
For shipments outside the State of Qatar, the collector is solely responsible for customs clearance and the payment of any applicable import duties, taxes, or additional fees levied by the destination country. Bayt Ara is not liable for any delays caused by customs procedures, nor can we cover or predict these additional charges.
5. Cancellation Policy & Commissioned Works
Artworks requiring an extended production timeline of 1 to 3 months necessitate full payment upfront upon order confirmation; we do not accept partial deposits. Because resources are allocated and craftsmanship begins immediately, all payments are strictly non-refundable. Should a collector decide to cancel an order while it is in production, the paid amount is forfeited. As a general rule, all acquisitions are final and non-refundable.
6. Care & Handling
Given the authentic materials utilized in our collections honoring Islamic art traditions—such as fine art prints on museum-grade cotton rag paper, hand-knotted wool carpets, and intricate Ari hand-embroidery—these artworks require meticulous care. Bayt Ara assumes no responsibility for any damage occurring to an artwork after delivery as a result of mishandling, improper care, direct exposure to sunlight, humidity, or the use of cleaning methods unsuitable for natural materials.
7. Privacy & Data Protection
When you submit an inquiry, acquisition request, or join the Collector’s Circle, we collect only the information you provide directly — typically your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry, process a request, or send updates you have opted into.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is retained only as long as necessary to fulfil these purposes and is handled in line with applicable data protection regulations in the State of Qatar.
